Salem freshmen gridders tie up Chiefs
  The Salem freshmen football team battled Canton to a 20-20 draw Thursday night. The Rocks' three TD's came from a one-yard run from Jordan Ciciotti, a 25-yard run from Michael McNamara and a 35-yard pass from Jacob Deprez to John Malone. Malone also booted a pair of extra points.

  Both sides of the line played well for Salem, particularly Cameron Werner, Danny Stropes, Nick Howie, Matt Grabowski, Tyler Gross, Cain Smith, Terez Smith and Ciciotti. Kyle Cameron excelled on special teams.

Freshmen gridders fall to Franklin
 
The Salem freshmen football team dropped a hard-fought 30-16 decision to Livonia Franklin Oct. 15. Both of the never-say-die Rocks' touchdowns came in the fourth quarter.

  Cameron Werner scored the first TD, hauling in a 20-yard strike from quarterback Jacob Deprez. Later in the quarter, Deprez hooked up with Terez Smith on a 50-yard scoring connection.

  Salem's Kyle Cameron played well, providing good field position with solid punt returns and recovering a fumble. Also playing well on the defensive side of the ball were Cain Smith, Danny Stropes, Nick Howie, Jordan Ciciotti, Austin Banfield and Matt Grabowski

Salem freshmen gridders edge Mustangs

  The Salem freshmen football team edged  Northville, 28-27, Thursday night at the PCEP junior varsity stadium. Jordan Ciciotti scored the Rocks' first touchdown. The winners struck again a short time later when quarterback Brandon Lee hooked up with Cameron Werner on a TD pass.


  Lee struck again later in the game when he scooped up a Northville punt that was blocked by Danny Stropes and returned it 50 yards to paydirt.

  Ciciotti also played well on defense while Michael McNamara shined for the Rocks' offense.
