Novi outruns Salem harriers
in Central Division dual meet

Salem's Mike Charara continued to prove he is one of the top runners in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association Tuesday afternoon, but the senior's impressive effort wasn't enough for the Rocks to knock off Novi.

Charara covered the hilly Cass Benton terrain in a season-best time of 17:04, but the Wildcats were triumphant, 19-44.

Also running well for the Rocks were freshman Alex Creekmore, sophomore Dan Remski and freshman Mason Mills.

"We are ecstatic with the progress of our young guys and they will conitnue to drop time over the remainder of the season," said assistant coach Steve Aspinall.

The Rocks return to action Saturday at the Haslett Invitational.
