Who were the greatest local high school athletes of the past decade?
While there is no scientific formula to answer that daunting
question, I've discovered a website that can provide us with an
unscientific
answer: mine.
Beginning Friday, I will begin posting survey questions on the
middle bottom of the front page of the website. For instance, Friday's
question will be: Who was the
greatest Canton High School male athlete
of the past decade (2000-09)? You will be able to vote for one
of the
five nominees.
Every four days, I will post another question for another of the
three PCEP high schools and genders. The male and

female athletes from each school who generate the most votes will be
added to the final surveys sometime in mid- to late-February.
I have a pretty good idea of who the candidates will be for each
school, but if you have some ideas, please e-mail me at
info@plymouthcantonsports.com.
It helps if the athlete played in more than one sport, but if he
or she simply dominated in one sport, they're definitely a candidate to
make their school's list of nominees.
The only other condition is that I'm not going to use athletes
who are still in school. They'll be candidates for a similar survey on
my website in 2020. :)
I will tell you this up front: There will be some incredibly
gifted athletes left off the initial lists simply because I can only
add five to the survey.
Hopefully, with your help, we can establish the greatest
male and female PCEP athletes from 2000-09 and have some fun along the
way.
A heart-felt
thanks
