
Plymouth's
boys cross country team continued its winning ways Tuesday by
registering a convincing 19-50 victory over Livonia Franklin in a KLAA
South Division dual meet held at Nankin Mills.
The Wildcats improved to 2-0 in the South with the victory.
Derek Gielarowski placed first with a time of 17:19, 10 seconds ahead
of runner-up Matt Neumann. Warren Buzzard placed third for the winners
in 17:35.
Also scoring for Plymouth were Jimmy Eiben (sixth in 18:06) and
Justin Heck, who placed seventh in 18:32. Also running for the 'Cats
were Stephen Balaze (ninth in 18:41) and Jimmy Maciag, who placed 10th
in 18:50.
Franklin was paced by fourth-place finisher Bobby Wilson, who
was clocked in 17:39. Also scoring for the Patriots were Nik Gheradini
(fifth in 17:48), Joe Steckel (eighth in 18:40), Zach Belanger (16th in
20:09) and John Ferreira (17th in 20:14).
CHARARA WINS, BUT
ROCKS FALL
Salem dropped to 1-1 in the KLAA Central Division Tuesday after
dropping a 21-36 decision to Livonia Stevenson.
Salem's Mike Charara dominated the field, winning in 17:37, 30
seconds ahead of Stevenson's top runner. Freshman Steve McEvilly also
ran well for the Rocks, placing sixth.
